Job Overview

Medinext Global LLC is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to help protect systems, applications, networks, and data from security threats.

The ideal candidate will have experience with security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, access controls, and security tools.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security systems and investigate potential security incidents.
  • Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across systems and applications.
  • Assist with security assessments, risk analysis, and threat monitoring.
  • Configure and maintain security tools and controls.
  • Analyze security logs and investigate suspicious activities.
  • Support incident response and security investigations.
  • Implement security best practices for cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Assist with identity and access management.
  • Maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT, DevOps, software engineering, and infrastructure teams.
  • Participate in security audits and compliance activities.
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of network and application security concepts.
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment and remediation.
  • Familiarity with SIEM and security monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of IAM, authentication, and access controls.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and common network protocols.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar SIEM tools.
  • Knowledge of AWS or Azure security.
  • Experience with vulnerability tools such as Nessus or Qualys.
  • Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus.
  • Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, or other security frameworks.
  • Experience with incident response and threat detection.
  • Familiarity with Python or PowerShell.
