Data Product Analyst

Talent Space, Inc. is seeking a Data Product Analyst for a contract to hire opportunity in Cary, NC or Dallas, TX!

Responsibilities:
The Product Analyst will translate strategic objectives into actionable product requirement and evaluate the effectiveness of modernization initiatives. In this role you will deliver data-driven insights and process support to ensure feature delivery, operation efficiency, and risk-mitigation goals are achieved and continuously monitored.

• Partner with Product Owners to turn data-driven insights into actionable recommendations that deliver measurable strategic and operational impact.
• Implement post-launch tracking to validate the business value and impact of product changes and strategic recommendations.

• Identify and communicate emerging risks, optimization opportunities, and performance gaps to Product Leadership, translating complex analysis into clear, actionable business insights.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to define and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements.

• Actively contributes to backlog grooming and prioritization to maintain a well-defined, delivery-ready backlog.

• Support the Scrum Team by validating functionality as it is delivered, ensuring alignment with defined acceptance criteria.

• Engage with business stakeholders and end-users to understand, document, and prioritize new features and enhancements.

• Lead production issues triage and troubleshooting, partnering with engineering and business teams to drive timely resolution and thorough root cause analysis.

• Analyze and report on the effectiveness of the data governance tool or function, assessing its impact on accelerating time-to-insight and strengthening data trust.

• Monitor data quality and integrity metrics throughout Data Ingestion and Lineage (legacy to Snowflake), including supporting automated reconciliation tests.

• Establish and track KPIs for the Policy & Governance Framework to measure risk mitigation and compliance progress.

• Develop metrics to track the automatic resolution rate of failed pipe replication jobs, ensuring high operations resiliency and zero business-critical reporting outages.

• Support the evaluation of external governance platforms (DataHub, Collate, Sifflet) with data-driven cost-benefit analysis.

Skills Required:

• 4 Year college degree (Bachelor) or equivalent work experience

• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), including writing use stories, defining acceptance criteria, and managing a product backlog.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to define, measure, and report KPIs for complex technical platforms.

• Proficient in BI and Data visualization tools, including Tableau, Sigma, and Power BI.

• Proficient in data warehousing (Snowflake) and SQL, experienced with BI analytics tools (Sigma), and knowledgeable in data governance and metadata concepts.

• Skilled in data quality monitoring, lineage tracking, and mitigation risk assessment.

• Skilled at synthesizing complex analytical findings into clear, concise reports and presentations for both technical and business audiences.

• Experienced with JIRA and Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Sprint Planning.
