SAP Ariba Test Lead (Buying & Invoicing / Ariba Network)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Ariba Test Lead to drive end-to-end testing activities across SAP Ariba implementations, focusing on Buying & Invoicing (B&I) and Ariba Network integrations. The role involves leading test strategy, execution, and defect management while ensuring high-quality delivery across procurement processes integrated with SAP ECC / S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning

Define and own test strategy, scope, timelines, and approach
Create detailed test plans, scenarios, and test cases for Ariba B&I and Ariba Network
Identify and manage test data requirements
Estimate effort and allocate tasks to QA team members

Test Execution & Coordination

Lead:
- Functional Testing
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Validate end-to-end procurement processes:
- Requisitioning & catalog management
- Approval workflows
- Purchase Orders (PO lifecycle)
- Goods receipts / Service Entry Sheets
- Invoicing & exception handling
Validate Ariba ERP integration (CIG / IDocs)
Coordinate with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams

Defect Management

Log, track, and prioritize defects using tools like JIRA / HP ALM / qTest
Lead defect triage calls and ensure timely resolution
Perform re-testing and impact analysis

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare test summary reports, dashboards, and metrics
Maintain traceability matrix, test evidence, and documentation
Provide regular status updates to stakeholders

Collaboration & Support

Work closely with SAP Ariba functional and integration teams
Collaborate with CIG (Cloud Integration Gateway) teams
Support cutover, hypercare, and post go-live testing

Required Skills

Core Skills

Hands-on experience in:
- SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing (B&I)
- Ariba Network
Strong knowledge of procurement (P2P) processes
Experience with:
- SAP ECC / S/4HANA (MM, FI integration)
- Ariba integration (CIG, IDOC flows)

Testing Expertise

Strong experience in:
- Functional testing
- SIT / UAT
- Regression testing
- Data validation
Experience with test management tools:
- JIRA / HP ALM / ServiceNow / qTest

Leadership & Soft Skills

Ability to lead QA teams and mentor testers
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Preferred Skills

Experience in:
- Ariba Sourcing / Contracts
- Automation testing tools
- Agile / Scrum methodology
- Global SAP rollout projects
SAP Ariba certification is a plus

Experience Required

8-12 years of experience in QA / SAP Testing
Strong hands-on experience in SAP Ariba testing projects
