Job Description:
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- FX experience is mandatory
- Experience as a Business Analyst in banking, payments, or fintech
- Hands-on experience with Real-Time Payments (RTP) platforms (e.g., The Clearing House RTP, FedNow, or similar)
- Experience with payment gateway integration, banking APIs, or core banking systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or Lucidchart
- Certification in CBAP, CSPO, or related Agile certifications
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead system analysis efforts, deliver strategic insight, and act as a technical expert for business systems within the Bank
- Perform at the highest level of service complexity in support of system operations, performance, and usage
- Develop advanced solutions and specifications to resolve process issues, including testing and development
- Serve as a resource to wider business units or associates and provide leadership for less experienced analysts
- Interface with business, application development teams, shared services organizations, and infrastructure areas
- Support Foreign Exchange build-out for investments, capital markets, cash, and liquidity management capabilities
- Source, compile, and interpret data for advanced analysis, effectively communicating and directing output
- Handle special projects or direct analysis efforts of the work group
- Determine system requirements and communicate them via specifications, reports, or project plans
- Resolve complex factors affecting system processes and ensure compliance through monitoring and analysis
- Enable strategic insight into business systems through reports to senior management
- Evaluate systems based on data analysis, user input, and testing; develop process enhancements
- Provide expert technical support for systems, ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement
- Handle escalated and complex support issues; develop and implement modifications and enhancements
- Lead engagement with business partners on changing needs, analyze requirements, and communicate system implications
- Manage assessment, analysis, requirements, development, testing, and implementation of enhancements/change requests
- Serve as liaison with business owners to elicit and prioritize initiatives and requirements (including vendor interface design, UI specifications, and report design)
- Convert application designs into data models and interface/data mapping specifications
- Work closely with developers to understand data structures, sources, and processes during system development
- Proactively identify and resolve systematic and data integrity issues across multiple systems
- Manage and support system production issues, change requests, and maintenance
- Communicate status, prioritize requirements, influence stakeholders, and obtain approval for documentation
- Guide and recommend process and system solutions to business owners
Additional Responsibilities (Payments Focus)
- Serve as bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams to deliver high-impact payment features
- Strong understanding of payment processing, settlements, ACH, wire, and ISO 20022 messaging formats
- Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flow diagrams
- Ensure fraud monitoring, AML compliance, and risk mitigation in payments
- Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
