Job Title: SAP MM/WM Functional Consultant (S/4HANA)
Location: Onsite in Austin, TX OR Sunnyvale, CA
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP MM/WM Functional Consultant to support the design, configuration, implementation, and optimization of Materials Management and Warehouse Management processes within a global SAP environment. This role will partner with business stakeholders, supply chain teams, and technical resources to deliver scalable solutions across procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, and integrated Order-to-Cash processes.
The ideal candidate will possess deep SAP MM expertise, strong WM process knowledge, and hands-on experience supporting integrated business processes across SAP MM, WM, and SD. This individual will participate throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements related to procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, and supply chain processes.
- Design, configure, and support SAP MM and WM solutions that improve operational efficiency and inventory visibility.
- Support end-to-end procurement processes, including purchasing, receiving, inventory management, and materials planning.
- Configure and support warehouse management processes, including storage management, inventory movements, and outbound processing.
- Collaborate with SAP SD teams to ensure seamless integration between order management, inventory, and fulfillment processes.
- Develop detailed functional specifications and partner with technical teams to deliver enhancements and custom solutions.
- Support supplier EDI integrations and troubleshoot transactional or interface issues.
- Execute and coordinate unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing activities.
- Participate in cutover planning, production deployments, hypercare, and post-go-live support.
- Assist with master data management activities, including material master governance and organizational structure alignment.
- Provide knowledge transfer and functional support to business users and production support teams.
- Collaborate with onsite, offshore, business, and technical teams to drive successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on SAP MM functional consulting experience.
- Strong SAP MM configuration expertise across procurement, inventory management, and receiving processes.
- Experience supporting SAP Warehouse Management (WM) processes and configurations.
- Knowledge of SAP SD processes and integration with SAP MM.
- Experience supporting supplier EDI flows and inventory-related business processes.
- Experience creating detailed functional specifications and supporting custom developments.
- Ability to perform ABAP debugging and work closely with development teams during issue resolution.
- Experience participating in multiple full-cycle SAP implementations.
- Strong understanding of material master data, organizational structures, and inventory control processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP S/4HANA experience.
- Experience within High-Tech or Electronics manufacturing environments.
- IS-Retail experience.
- SAP MDG experience.
- SAP Ariba experience.
- Exposure to Mobile/UI solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
