The Impact you will have in this role:
DTCC is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development and modernization of internal platforms that facilitate essential financial market operations. This position focuses on delivering technical solutions through hands-on engineering, with a particular emphasis on automation. The role requires rapid learning and adaptability, as well as effective collaboration within agile teams to achieve project goals.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and support backend services and applications across the software development lifecycle.
- Automate Oracle database deployments, versioning, and pipeline integration using Liquibase, ensuring consistent and repeatable releases.
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated database and application deployments.
- Develop and support Kafka-based messaging solutions, including building and maintaining Kafka listeners for downstream integration.
- Contribute to platform modernization through proofs of concept, automation, and pipeline enhancements.
- Build and maintain APIs and data pipelines using modern frameworks and cloud-native technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Approximately 3 years of hands-on software development experience.
Talents Needed for Success: - Strong experience with backend development using Python and frameworks such as FastAPI.
- Hands-on experience automating Oracle database deployments using Liquibase and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience building or supporting Kafka producers and listeners in event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Experience with Docker, Jenkins, and automation scripting.
- Working knowledge of Java.
