Summary

Employment Type: Permanent/Direct Hire
Compensation: $150-180k base/yr + Bonus + Benefits
Location: 100% REMOTE (w/ up to 75% travel)
We are seeking a Senior Functional Architect to serve as the design authority on complex ECC-to-S/4HANA transformation programs. This is a highly client-facing role combining solution design, functional leadership, delivery ownership, and pre-sales support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead functional design for ECC-to-S/4HANA conversions
  • Own one or more functional workstreams across FI/CO, SD, MM/WM, or related areas
  • Run fit-to-standard workshops and translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions
  • Apply clean core and SAP standard-first principles
  • Guide configuration, testing, cutover, and functional quality
  • Support scoping, estimates, discovery workshops, proposals, and customer solution discussions
  • Mentor functional consultants and contribute to practice methods and accelerators
  • Use AI-enabled tools to improve requirements, documentation, and delivery efficiency

What We're Looking For:
  • 7+ years of SAP functional experience
  • At least 2 full-lifecycle S/4HANA implementations or conversions
  • Deep expertise in FI/CO, SD, or MM/WM
  • Hands-on ECC-to-S/4HANA conversion experience
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Activate, fit-to-standard, SAP Best Practices, and Fiori
  • Experience with testing, cutover, and functional design ownership
  • Strong client-facing communication and workshop leadership skills
  • Experience supporting scoping, estimates, and solution development

Preferred:
  • S/4HANA certification
  • Big 4 or global systems integrator background
  • Experience with RISE with SAP, BTP, selective data transition, or clean core programs
