SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and ensuring the quality and reliability of software products throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
- Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and performance tests
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable test code using programming languages
- Identify, log, and track defects and work with development teams for resolution
- Perform API testing, UI testing, and database validation
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure test coverage and maintain test documentation
- Continuously improve test processes, tools, and frameworks
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong programming skills in languages such as:
- Java / Python / C# / JavaScript
- Experience with test automation tools, such as:
- Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit
- Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC
- Database knowledge (SQL queries, validation)
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow)
