Job Overview
We are seeking a Linux Engineer/Administrator with strong data center infrastructure experience to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Linux engineering and administration, exposure to AIX environments, AWS cloud infrastructure, and enterprise storage technologies. This role is critical to ensuring system reliability, performance, and scalability across on-prem and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, administer, and support Linux-based systems in a data center environment
Perform system installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning
Provide operational support for AIX systems
Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, and networking services
Administer and monitor SAN storage environments to ensure availability and performance
Support backup and recovery operations using IBM Tivoli Storage Manager / Storage Protect
Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis
Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams on system architecture and improvements
Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and compliance standards
Participate in on-call support and scheduled maintenance activities as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience as a Linux Engineer / Administrator
Solid understanding of Linux engineering and system administration concepts
Experience working in enterprise data center environments
Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services
Knowledge of SAN storage technologies
Experience with IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (Storage Protect)
Understanding of system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
Preferred Skills
Experience with AIX administration
Exposure to automation tools and scripting (Shell, Python, etc.)
Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery environments
Nice to Have
Knowledge of virtualization technologies
Familiarity with security hardening and compliance standards
