Summary

As a Business Analyst - Medicaid Claims - Hybrid at Gainwell, you will use technology to help clients improve the health and well-being of the communities they serve. This client-facing role with the State of Florida requires strong verbal and written communication skills and a passion for solving complex healthcare challenges. You must be able to work independently, manage responsibilities effectively, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Your role in our mission

Play a critical role in helping Gainwell meet client objectives by:
  • Supporting business analyst team activities on IT projects and contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Working with the Business Analyst Advisor and clients to develop business specifications at the start of technical projects
  • Analyzing, planning, designing, and documenting business processes, and recommending improvements aligned with client technology goals
  • Verifying requirements by creating, executing, and validating test results
  • Using analytical and database tools such as Excel or SQL to support testing and system changes


What we're looking for

  • Three or more years of Business Analyst experience translating technical requirements into actionable outcomes; includes Medicaid Claims experience
  • Understanding of programming concepts such as configuration, development, and batch processing
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools
  • Strong client communication skills with the ability to translate needs into actionable objectives
  • Strong analytical and business process improvement skills
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills for both technical and business audiences
  • A collaborative team player who can influence others and clearly communicate technical concepts


Targeted Skills

  • SQL knowledge (preferred)
  • Medicaid Management Information Systems (preferred)
  • Medicaid claims experience (required)
  • Testing and requirements gathering (required)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (required)
  • Client-facing experience (required)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly


What you should expect in this role

  • Must be within commuting distance of Tallahassee, Florida
  • Hybrid schedule requiring onsite work 1-2 days per week
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews

The pay range for this position is $55,600.00 - $79,400.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
