This is a remote position.

Position Overview:
The Change Management Consultant will partner closely with all members of the Data Governance, Platform and Solutions team and ?clients? across campus to design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs and support communications. This role will support faculty, staff, and administrative end users in effectively adopting and utilizing the new data solutions and tools through modern, accessible, and user-centered learning and communications solutions. This role will serve as a key communications liaison, ensuring consistent, timely, and compelling messaging across multiple channels to drive awareness, engagement, and successful adoption.
This role is ideal for an initiative-taking, tech-savvy professional who thrives on rolling up their sleeves to develop materials and content to help people understand complex concepts and new technologies ? and as a result, help end users confidently adopt new concepts and processes through practical, modern, and engaging learning experiences and clear, concise communications.
Principle Responsibilities
Training Design & Development:
  • Collaborate with groups such as Advancement, HR, and Finance functional stakeholders to assess training needs and develop targeted learning designs and solutions.
  • Design and develop training including high-quality training materials, including quick-reference guides/cards, easy-to-use tip sheets, job aids, online learning modules, and structured curricula.
  • Create short, engaging instructional videos and microlearning content to support just-in-time learning.
  • Utilize training software and learning management systems (LMS) to deploy and track training initiatives.
  • Deliver training in multiple formats, including in-person workshops, live virtual sessions, and self-paced online courses.
  • Translate complex data governance and technical concepts into clear, digestible content tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, metrics, and continuous improvement practices.
Communications Support:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communications in support of project kickoffs, implementation, testing, and rollouts aligned with project timelines and stakeholder needs.
  • Design and develop brief and visual one-pagers and presentations to provide simple overviews of what is new, what is changing and what to expect in the future.
  • Create and manage internal communications including announcement emails, newsletters, and targeted messaging to build awareness and drive adoption working closely with the Data GPS team.
  • Develop website and intranet content updates to keep users informed of available resources, training schedules, updates, and support channels.
  • Craft clear, compelling communications that address user concerns, highlight benefits, and reinforce key messages across different audiences (faculty, staff, leadership, administrative teams).
  • Collaborate with communications leads and teams across the Institute to gain approval to ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and branding across all channels.
  • Identify key communication milestones and create communication calendars to support sustained engagement throughout implementation and adoption phases.


Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience delivering data related and system training, preferably within higher education or a similar complex organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to create instructional videos and digital learning assets using modern authoring and video tools.
  • Experience with learning management system (LMS) platforms and training development software (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, or similar).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering internal communications including email campaigns, website content, and messaging strategies.
  • Experience creating presentations for diverse audiences, including leadership and operational teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple requests and projects, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years' experience supporting data governance and data platform related projects
  • Background in instructional design or change management.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive training practices.
  • Experience in organizational communications, change management communications, or internal messaging.
  • Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) or website platforms.
  • Experience with email marketing or communications automation tools.
