The Mold Set-Up Person is essential to maintaining production quality and efficiency by preparing, setting up, and troubleshooting molds in an injection molding environment. This role ensures molds are correctly configured, maintained, and aligned with production requirements.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 3P-11P
Responsibilities:
- Set up and remove molds based on production schedules.
- Inspect molds for wear and damage, performing repairs as needed.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on molds to prevent downtime.
- Document mold setup procedures and adjustments.
- Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for mold repairs.
- Perform quality checks during mold changes and initial setups.
- Assist in machine startups and verify mold alignment.
- Troubleshoot issues with mold quality and alignment.
- Maintain records of mold performance and maintenance activities.
- Train other technicians on proper mold handling and setup.
Requirements:
?2+ years of experience in mold setup for injection molding.
?Knowledge of mold materials, setup procedures, and safety protocols.
?Strong mechanical skills for handling and installing molds.
?Familiarity with blueprints and technical specifications.
?Detail-oriented approach to prevent defects and downtime.
?Experience with preventive maintenance techniques for molds.
?Strong documentation and record-keeping abilities
Flexibility to work holiday shifts for production continuity
The pay rate for this position is $30/hour. Exact pay rate offered will depend on candidate?s experience, work location, skills, etc.
