Role:- SAP S/4HANA Project Manager– Logistics & IS-Oil

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA professional with a strong blend of project management, solution architecture, and governance expertise to support a complex SAP transformation program. The successful candidate will have proven experience leading both Greenfield and/or Brownfield SAP S/4HANA implementations and will play a critical role in shaping the overall solution roadmap, validating solution designs, and providing strategic architectural guidance throughout the program lifecycle.
This role extends beyond traditional project management or governance responsibilities and requires a senior professional capable of bridging business objectives, SAP functional processes, solution architecture, and program delivery. The individual will work alongside other Third-party IT delivery team and provide independent oversight to ensure alignment with business goals, enterprise architecture standards, and the long-term transformation roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Delivery
- Lead and oversee SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives, including Greenfield and Brownfield implementations.
- Support program planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder governance activities.
- Ensure delivery milestones, dependencies, and key decisions are managed effectively across workstreams.
- Collaborate with business, IT, and implementation partners to drive successful outcomes.
Solution Roadmap & Architecture Oversight
- Review, challenge, and refine the SAP S/4HANA solution roadmap to ensure alignment with business strategy and enterprise architecture objectives.
- Provide strategic guidance on SAP solution architecture across functional and technical domains.
- Evaluate design decisions, identify architectural risks, and recommend improvements where required.
- Ensure the proposed solutions remain scalable, supportable, and aligned with future business requirements.
Solution Design Validation
- Validate end-to-end solution designs against documented business requirements and process objectives.
- Assess integration approaches, process harmonization opportunities, and data considerations.
- Ensure best-practice utilization of SAP S/4HANA capabilities while minimizing unnecessary customizations.
- Review key design deliverables, solution architecture documents, and business process designs.
Governance & Quality Assurance
- Establish and support solution governance frameworks, decision-making processes, and design authority reviews.
- Provide independent oversight of system design, implementation approach, and program quality.
- Work alongside the IBM implementation team to ensure adherence to architectural standards and agreed principles.
- Identify and escalate risks, issues, and deviations from the approved roadmap.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops, design reviews, and architecture discussions.
- Present recommendations and solution options to executive leadership and steering committees.
- Foster alignment across business, IT, and delivery partners.
Required Experience
- 12+ years of SAP experience with significant exposure to SAP S/4HANA programs.
- Proven leadership experience delivering both Greenfield and Brownfield SAP S/4HANA implementations.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA business processes and integrated solution design.
- Demonstrated experience in solution governance, design assurance, and architecture review activities.
- Experience working with global system integrators and large-scale transformation programs.
- Strong knowledge of SAP implementation methodologies, including Activate.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholder groups.
