Summary
Network Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support network operations, firewall policy management, and cybersecurity initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), firewall administration, network access control, and network security best practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily operational support for network infrastructure and firewall policy services.
- Perform Network Access Control (NAC) governance activities using Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
- Manage and support firewall policies, network security controls, and cloud policy services.
- Participate in network segmentation, application protection, and hardware refresh initiatives to reduce security risks.
- Support application protection and proxy policy management.
- Perform routine maintenance and operational support for network security products and services.
- Troubleshoot network, firewall, and cloud policy issues in collaboration with internal technical teams.
- Conduct testing, validation, and quality assurance for network changes and new process deployments before production release.
- Support network posture management and web-based security portals.
- Collaborate with product owners to resolve technical issues and maintain network security services.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining technical processes related to firewall policies and network access security.
- Follow cybersecurity best practices to maintain a secure and reliable network environment.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate technical issues and resolutions effectively.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Security Engineering, Security Architecture, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent professional experience with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity and network security best practices.
- Strong understanding of firewall management and network protocols.
- Functional knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco ISE.
- Experience with network operations, troubleshooting, and security policy management.
- Understanding of Network Access Control (NAC) and network segmentation.
- Experience with testing, validation, and quality assurance before production deployment.
- Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.

Work Environment
This is a fully onsite contract position in Irving, Texas. The selected candidate must be available to work onsite Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for the duration of the assignment.
