Healthcare organization operating in a highly regulated environment, how we design and apply AI must also align with compliance, accuracy, and auditability requirements. We’re looking for a highly technical individual contributor to own how AI is applied across the business. The Applied AI Prompt Engineer will focus on designing, building and optimizing prompts, agents and AI driven workflows that impact how work gets done across the business. You will work across teams to integrate AI into real business processes to streamline processes, improve output quality, and reduce operational friction. This hands-on role is expected to both build and optimize solutions.


Responsibilities & Scope Apply AI to Core Business Workflows
We are looking for a highly skilled Voice AI Engineer to design, build, and optimize intelligent voice-driven applications that enhance operational efficiency and user experience. This role focuses on embedding AI into existing business processes, enabling teams to handle high-volume, repetitive tasks more effectively.

The ideal candidate combines expertise in voice AI technologies with strong capabilities in prompt engineering, AI optimization, and system integration. You will work closely with business stakeholders to identify bottlenecks, deploy AI-powered solutions, and drive measurable improvements in performance, accuracy, and scalability.


Key Responsibilities

Voice AI Development

  • Design, develop, and deploy voice AI applications (e.g., virtual assistants, IVR systems, conversational agents).
  • Build natural, scalable, and reliable voice interactions using speech-to-text (STT), text-to-speech (TTS), and NLP technologies.
  • Optimize conversational flows for usability, accuracy, and performance in high-volume environments.

AI Workflow Optimization

  • Improve how teams handle repetitive, high-volume tasks by embedding AI into existing workflows and processes.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify operational bottlenecks and prioritize AI-driven solutions.
  • Design scalable AI workflows that increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Prompt Engineering & AI Optimization

  • Design, test, and refine prompts to ensure accurate, consistent, and high-quality AI outputs.
  • Build and optimize AI agents and copilots used by internal teams.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve AI performance, reliability, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Analyze output quality and iterate on prompts, models, and workflows.

Build & Integrate Solutions

  • Develop tools, automations, and systems to support AI-driven workflows.
  • Integrate AI solutions into existing platforms using APIs, scripting, and middleware.
  • Connect data sources and systems to enable seamless, end-to-end automation.
  • Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of deployed solutions.

Drive Measurable Impact

  • Define and track key performance metrics (e.g., turnaround time, accuracy, throughput, team efficiency).
  • Analyze results to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Continuously enhance prompts, agents, and workflows based on data-driven insights.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience building AI/ML or voice AI solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Voice AI platforms (e.g., conversational AI, IVR, speech systems)
    • Prompt engineering and large language models (LLMs)
    • APIs, system integrations, and automation tools
  • Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar).
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Proven ability to design scalable, high-performance AI systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with speech technologies (ASR/STT, TTS, NLU/NLP frameworks).
  • Familiarity with contact center or customer service automation solutions.
  • Experience building AI copilots, assistants, or agent-based systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and AI services.
  • Experience with analytics and monitoring tools for AI performance.
