Job Title: Embedded Product Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA OR Chicago, IL OR NYC, NY OR San Francisco, CA (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a technically strong and business-driven Embedded Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of embedded systems and firmware-based products. The ideal candidate will bridge hardware, firmware, and software teams while ensuring alignment with market needs, customer requirements, and business objectives.

This role requires a deep understanding of embedded systems, IoT devices, edge computing, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and product marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle for embedded systems products.

• Gather and prioritize requirements from customers, stakeholders, and market research.

• Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and software engineering teams.

• Translate business requirements into technical product specifications.

• Manage end-to-end product development from concept to production.

• Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain teams for product releases.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Define product KPIs and measure performance post-launch.

• Drive go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing and sales.

• Manage product documentation and version control across firmware releases.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

• 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably in embedded systems.

• Strong understanding of embedded architectures, microcontrollers, and firmware development.

• Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.

• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid product development methodologies.

• Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IoT, edge devices, or real-time systems.

• Knowledge of RTOS such as FreeRTOS or embedded Linux.

• Experience with communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, BLE, MQTT).

• Exposure to product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.

• MBA or product management certification.
