Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
We are looking for technicians who can support Vehicle system programs with a focus on Testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting and general system support. The emphasis is on electrical systems, wire harnesses, and system-level software rather than traditional mechanical repair. Candidates from automotive, aerospace, medical devices, robotics, or similar technical fields are encouraged to apply, and automotive experience is not required.
• Proficient with hand tools and electrical test equipment (multimeters, continuity testers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.).
• Experience using diagnostic, logging, flashing, or network analysis tools to troubleshoot hardware and software systems
• Ability to read and follow schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Experience working in a lab or shop environment, including tool and inventory management.
• Team player.
Pluses:
• Experience troubleshooting vehicle or embedded system software.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, or Ethernet.
• Experience with sensors, calibration, or system validation testing.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Collaborate on & assemble test platforms - Create the “Stuff” that enables HW to be utilized in a lab. Including but not limited to - Fixturing, wiring, cooling.
• Perform hands-on inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Read, interpret, and troubleshoot wire harnesses, wiring diagrams, schematics, and pinouts.
• Capture, escalate, & diagnose HW & SW issues encountered when commissioning & maintaining test platforms; Use OEM or system-level tools to read diagnostics, logs, and system status and support root cause analysis.
• Navigate documentation and database systems to locate procedures and record results.
• Support system validation activities and assist with issue resolution in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
