Job Title: Java Spring Boot & Microservices Lead
Location: Charlotte, NC & Edison, NJ

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Java Spring Boot & Microservices Lead with strong payments domain expertise to architect and deliver enterprise-scale solutions. The ideal candidate must have deep hands-on experience in modern Java-based architectures, reactive microservices, and event-driven systems, along with exposure to payment transformation programs (SWIFT, FED, CHIPS preferred).
This is a hands-on lead role requiring both technical leadership and architecture ownership.
Mandatory Technical Skills

Apache Kafka
MongoDB
Reactive Programming (WebFlux Project Reactor preferred)
OCP (Oracle Cloud Platform) exposure preferred
Key Responsibilities
Architect and design enterprise-scale solutions in the payments domain.
Lead end-to-end development of Java-based Spring Boot microservices.
Implement event-driven architecture using Kafka.
Design reactive and scalable microservices-based applications.
Integrate distributed systems using REST APIs and messaging frameworks.
Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and best practice enforcement.
Drive payment transformation initiatives involving SWIFT, FED, and CHIPS.
Ensure high availability, performance, and security standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Required Experience
10+ years of application development experience.
Strong experience building high-performance distributed systems.
Hands-on expertise in Kafka event streaming.
Experience working with MongoDB in high-volume environments.
Experience in reactive programming models.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture patterns.
Experience in enterprise payment systems (SWIFT, FED, CHIPS preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms (OCP preferred).
Experience in financial services or banking domain.
Prior experience leading teams in enterprise transformation programs.
