Summary

Our client, a leading organization in the safety and equipment manufacturingindustry, is seeking a FLD Service/Repair Technician to join their dedicated team. As a FLD Service/Repair Technician, you will be an essential part of the Repair Department supporting the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of fall protection equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: FLD Service/Repair Technician

Location:Red Wing, MN

Pay Range: $20 to 25 per hour on w-2
Contract: 6 months to start
Shift: Monday- Friday 1st shift 6am to 2:30pm

What's the Job?

  • Inspect returned fall protection devices for damage and wear.
  • Dismantle equipment to access internal components and remove defective parts.
  • Repair or replace damaged components, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.
  • Operate metalworking tools (drill press, grinder, ect)
  • Create work orders, document parts used, and estimate repair costs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with team members across product lines.

What's Needed?

  • 2-3 years experience in a Field Service or Maintenance/Mechanical role
  • Ability to visually examine equipment for damage and imperfections.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Experience operating mechanical tools such as drills and grinders.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety procedures.
  • Effective communication skills for documentation and teamwork.
  • Willingness to participate in safety inspections and support safety initiatives.
