Job Role: Senior Data Quality Analyst Location: New York (Remote)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Quality Analyst to join our growing data
team. In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our
data assets. You will collaborate with various teams across the organization to identify, analyze, and
resolve data quality issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent future problems. This position
requires a strong understanding of data quality principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,
and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Data related Responsibilities:
Develop and implement data quality frameworks, standards, and procedures.
Define and maintain data quality rules, metrics, and thresholds.
Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and root causes.
Collaborate with data owners, data stewards, and IT teams to remediate data quality issues.
Design and implement data quality monitoring and alerting systems.
Develop and maintain data quality documentation, including data dictionaries, data lineage
diagrams, and data quality reports.
Participate in data governance initiatives and contribute to the development of data governance
policies.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality and data management processes.
Mentor and guide Business Analysts in using and adopting data quality best practices.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in data quality management.
Contribute to the development and execution of data quality training programs.
Participate in project planning and execution, ensuring data quality considerations are addressed.
Help or assist implement data quality procedures to align with our data governance policies.
Continuously work across the business and across multiple functions to evaluate data quality
processes to find opportunities for improvement.
Explore company data to identify potential duplication, quality issues, or modeling/sharing
opportunities.
Promote data-driven culture and good data practices within an organization.
Help drive projects forward with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, identifying and
navigating roadblocks to ensure timely and efficient execution.
Maintain a keen eye for detail while simultaneously maintaining a strategic perspective, ensuring
alignment with overall business objectives.
Champion a streamlined and efficient approach to data quality, identifying and implementing
process improvements to maximize productivity.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including technical resources, stakeholders,
and business leaders, to gather data quality requirements, manage expectations, and ensure
alignment on an ongoing basis.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data quality analysis, data management, or a related field.
Strong understanding of data quality principles, methodologies, and tools.
Proficiency in SQL and data analysis techniques.
Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
Experience with AWS Glue Data Quality, DynamoDB, Athena, DataZone, SageMaker, Redshift, S3,
Lambda, Step Functions, Spark SQL, PySpark etc.
Experience with data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation tools. (e.g., Informatica,
Collibra, Alation, Great Expectations).
Proven proficiency within a BI platform (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
Experience with data governance frameworks and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is a plus.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
ETL and streaming data orchestration experience a plus.
Detail and quality-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new
technical concepts and technologies.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while strong communication and interpersonal
skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical
stakeholders.
