Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with recent retail industry experience to lead a critical data transformation initiative. The role involves managing the migration from a legacy Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to Databricks, working closely with an implementation partner and internal stakeholders.

This is a hands-on delivery role, ensuring timelines, quality, and coordination across teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end project management for EDW to Databricks migration
Coordinate with implementation partner, internal IT, and business teams
Drive execution of the existing project plan and ensure milestones are met
Monitor project progress, risks, and dependencies
Facilitate status meetings, reporting, and stakeholder communication
Ensure alignment with retail business requirements and data use cases
Manage issue resolution and escalation
Maintain documentation and governance standards

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of Project Management experience
Strong experience in Retail industry (recent experience required)
Proven experience managing data platform or data migration projects
Hands-on experience with:

Databricks
Data Warehousing (EDW)
Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure preferred)

Experience working with third-party implementation partners
Strong understanding of Agile / Waterfall methodologies
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with data modernization / cloud transformation projects
Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and big data ecosystems
PMP / Scrum certification (nice to have)
