The Client is seeking the services of a qualified contractor to support a statewide website accessibility initiative. The contractor will be responsible for reviewing, updating, and converting the existing body of content on the AGE website into fully accessible pages. This includes transforming materials currently available in PDF and Word formats into formats (e.g., HTML) that meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards and comply with State of Ohio accessibility requirements. The objective of this effort is to ensure that the web content is in alignment with the requirements outlined in Ohio Administrative Policy IT-09 Digital Accessibility. The contractor will utilize the State of Ohio’s web content management tool to implement these updates, ensuring consistency with state-approved templates, navigation structures, and branding guidelines. The work will involve: · Conducting a comprehensive inventory of existing content and identifying accessibility gaps, and implementing content updates. · Converting documents and pages into formats (e.g., HTML) optimized for accessibility and usability. · Applying best practices for semantic markup, ARIA attributes, and responsive design. · Performing accessibility validation using state-approved tools and manual testing. · Collaborating with AGE staff to confirm accuracy and completeness of converted content. · Providing documentation of changes and recommendations for ongoing accessibility compliance. |
