Summary

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Project Manager Team Lead to oversee our project management team and drive the successful execution of IT projects across the organization. The candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of various project management tools and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership & Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
  2. Project Oversight:
    • Oversee multiple IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Establish and enforce project management best practices, methodologies, and standards across the team.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, communicating project progress, managing expectations, and addressing any issues that arise.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between project goals and organizational objectives.
  4. Tool Proficiency:
    • Utilize and advocate for project management tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, PPM) to streamline project workflows and enhance team collaboration.
    • Stay updated on emerging tools and technologies that can improve project management processes and efficiency.
  5. Strategic Planning:
    • Contribute to the strategic planning of IT initiatives, aligning project goals with business objectives.
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
  6. Performance Monitoring:
    • Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project performance and team productivity.
    • Conduct regular project reviews and retrospectives to capture lessons learned and implement improvements.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Qualifications

Entry Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Five years of related experience OR Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Seven years of related experience

OR
Nine years of related experience

OR
Two years of experience at the lower-level Systems Administrator 3 (ITP042) or position equivalent.

Agency Specific Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of project management experience in IT, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (Jira, Microsoft Project, Trello, Asana, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of managing complex IT projects and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent communication/collaboration skills with software developers/architects, business analysts, etc.

Agency Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred.

Professional certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile certifications is highly desirable.

High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience at the lower level Systems Administrator 3 (ITP042) or position equivalent.
