Position Description
We are seeking a highly motivated
Software Engineer 3 to join our engineering team and support the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of modern cloud-based applications and services. This role will serve as a key contributor in building scalable software solutions, developing microservices and APIs, creating custom web-based interfaces, and supporting test data management platforms.
The ideal candidate has strong full-stack development experience, a passion for solving complex technical challenges, and hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), Angular, Java/J2EE, SQL, and microservices architectures. This individual will collaborate closely with product owners, architects, designers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand business requirements, pain points, and user needs, ensuring a user-centered approach to software development.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications and services.
- Architect and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging modern technology stacks and deployment strategies.
- Develop and maintain microservices, REST APIs, and custom web applications.
- Create intuitive, responsive, and user-friendly front-end interfaces using Angular and related technologies.
- Design and support back-end services using Java/J2EE and cloud-native architectures.
- Manage and maintain cloud environments, including servers, databases, configurations, and security controls.
- Troubleshoot application, performance, and infrastructure issues within Google Cloud Platform environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, architecture, UX/UI, and business stakeholders.
- Break down business requirements into incremental, production-ready user stories and technical solutions.
- Define and execute software testing strategies, utilizing test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration, and continuous delivery best practices.
- Support data management and software solutions utilizing industry standards such as ASAM ODS.
- Implement security best practices to ensure protection of sensitive data, including encryption and secure application design.
- Continuously improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Research, evaluate, and adopt emerging technologies to address current and future business needs.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other team members while contributing to overall team growth and technical excellence.

Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of overall IT experience.
- 4+ years of software development experience.
- Practical experience in at least two programming languages, or advanced expertise in one programming language.
- Experience developing enterprise-level web applications, APIs, and cloud-native solutions.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting Test Data Management platforms.
- Experience working within large-scale cloud environments.
- Experience building scalable microservices and distributed systems.
- Prior automotive, manufacturing, or engineering systems experience is a plus.

The Software Engineer 3 will serve as a core member of an engineering team responsible for delivering innovative cloud-based software solutions. This role requires strong hands-on coding capabilities, the ability to work independently, and a passion for delivering quality software.
