Disaster Recovery Analyst
Location: 100% remote
What you'll Do
• Own DR methodology: Define, maintain, and continuously improve Client’s DR methodology (standards, controls, acceptance criteria, and playbooks), aligned with 1-AER governance and our ISO 22301 BCMS.
• Program content & enablement: Curate guidance and templates for Disaster Recovery Plans; develop training that raises DR literacy and practice maturity across engineering and operations.
• Plan review & assurance: Systematically review DR plans for accuracy, completeness, viability, and conformity to methodology; validate that RTO/RPO targets from BIA/TIA are supported by architecture and procedures.
• Technical SME & advisor: Advise product/service teams on resilient patterns given their structure and how DR integrates with Business Continuity and Enterprise Resilience.• Exercises & validation: Review DR exercise submissions for accuracy and completeness. Ensure plans are updated accordingly.
• Standards alignment: Ensure DR artifacts and controls align to Client’s methodology and evolving regulatory resilience expectations (e.g., DORA), and feed audit/readiness activities.
• Tooling: Utilize Business Continuity Management (BCM) module within ServiceNow to improve readiness and transparency for DR efforts.
• Perform other activities as required to support enterprise resilience at Client.
What you need to succeed
• Demonstrable experience in enterprise resilience, including disaster recovery planning spanning 5-10 years.
• Strong grasp of ISO 22301 and NIST guidance for contingency planning.
• Ability to read/assess technical designs and runbooks; familiarity with distributed systems, data replication, backups, network design, identity/access, and observability.
• Excellent analytical, verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Comfortable collaborating with engineers and leaders; can drive cross-functional alignment
• Good understanding of Financial, Audit, and Information Technology concepts.
• Outstanding proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint).
• Strong administrative skills, including the ability to develop project plans and achieve target dates.
• Productive great teammate with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Preferred qualifications include an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, professional designation (CBCP, MBCI), and experience in preparing for significant multi-site disruptive incidents.
