Shift: 5:30am-3:30pm, Monday -Saturday (6 10 hour shifts per week - OT will be heavy)

Role Overview

We are seeking an Associate Test Engineer for a manufacturing environment. This role involves building, assembling, and testing large, complex semiconductor systems from start to finish. The position requires a hands-on individual with strong mechanical aptitude who can work effectively on assignments that are moderately complex in nature and require judgment to resolve problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and assemble large, room-sized semiconductor tools.
• Perform mechanical and electromechanical assembly, system cabling, and basic software loading.
• Conduct set-up, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and integration of mechanical assemblies and wafer or reticle handlers.
• Work across the full build cycle, from initial assembly to final system testing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and diagrams to determine methods and procedures.
• Prepare technical reports to summarize findings and recommend solutions to technical issues.
• Work with minimal instruction on daily tasks and general instructions on new assignments.

Required Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of related experience in hands-on systems electro-mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting. Experience is prioritized over formal education.

Technical Skills: A demonstrated ability to use and manipulate a variety of fine adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches, calipers, and various testing and measuring instruments.

Education: A High School Diploma with relevant experience is required. A Technical Certificate, AS degree, military technical training, or equivalent vocational training is also acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with troubleshooting, cable routing, and system cabling.
• Familiarity with XY stage robots or similar complex equipment.
• Prior exposure to building robotics, biotech equipment, or capital equipment.

Work Environment

• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment is required.
• Must be able to sustain a schedule with significant overtime, including weekends.
• The role requires the ability to stand, sit, bend, climb 8 ft ladders, and periodically lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
