This role requires expertise in designing and implementing robust data visualizations and dashboards—primarily using Tableau —alongside a strong SQL, SSRS and SSIS knowledge base. The ideal candidate will bring experience working with large datasets, a strong understanding of business processes, and the ability to transform data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and optimize interactive Tableau dashboards and data visualizations to support key business initiatives.
Write and maintain efficient SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction and preparation.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and translate requirements into impactful BI solutions.
Maintain data integrity and consistency across dashboards and reports.
Contribute to report scheduling, automation, and governance best practices.
Assist in evaluating and supporting SSRS reporting needs.
Review and troubleshoot legacy ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS
Participate in end-user training and documentation.

Requirements:

Ability to present and explain technical information to diverse audiences.
Ability to be flexible, adaptable and learn new concepts quickly.
Knowledge of Safe or Scrum Agile to track stories and tasks associated with the goals to deliver value.
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like SSIS.
Strong understanding of data modeling techniques, including schema design, normalization, and denormalization.
Exposure to data governance principles, data quality frameworks, and security/compliance standards such as SOX, SOC 2, or equivalent.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree with Information Technology/Mathematical emphasis or equivalent work experience is preferred.
3+ years of report development and analytical experience, with 2+ years of Tableau/SSRS/SSIS experience is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with Insurance knowledge is preferred.
Deep experience developing BI dashboards, along with SSRS reporting, within a complex IT/enterprise environment.
Proficiency in SQL for data modeling, transformation, and querying across relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL).
Understanding of ETL processes and data preparation techniques.
Ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with transformation or migrating legacy systems to modernized stacks and environments preferred.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is preferred.

Experience modernizing or migrating .NET Framework applications to .NET 8 or later.
