Associate Software Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking an Associate Software Developer to join a collaborative technology team supporting engineering, GIS, CAD, and business applications. This role is ideal for an early-career developer who enjoys solving problems, modernizing legacy systems, and building web-based solutions that improve operational efficiency. The Associate Software Developer will work alongside engineers, analysts, project managers, and technical teams to develop applications, automate processes, and support enterprise technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with application and platform upgrades, including system configuration, testing, and validation of business workflows
* Modernize legacy applications by converting existing code and processes into maintainable automation solutions
* Support software integrations, API development, and batch process enhancements to improve operational workflows
* Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using modern Microsoft technologies
* Create and support RESTful APIs that integrate enterprise systems and geospatial data services
* Design and build dashboards, reports, and visualization tools that support business decision-making
* Maintain and enhance existing software applications while identifying opportunities for optimization and automation
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
* Troubleshoot application, data, and integration issues across multiple environments

REQUIREMENTS:
* 0 to 5 years of experience in software development, including internships, co-ops, or personal projects
* Ability to quickly learn business processes and technical environments
* Strong attention to detail when troubleshooting and testing solutions
* A proactive mindset with a desire to improve existing systems and workflows
* Comfort working independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business teams

Experience with:
* C#
* .NET Framework/.NET Core
* SQL Server
* Angular and/or Blazor
* Node.js

Preferred Qualifications:
* Exposure to AutoCAD, CAD automation, or engineering software environments
* Experience working with GIS technologies such as ESRI or ArcGIS
* Familiarity with application integrations, API development, and backend database design
* Understanding of source control and software development best practices

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
