Job Description

Staples is business to business. You're what binds us together.

Our digital solutions team is more than a traditional IT organization. We are a team of passionate, collaborative, agile, inventive, customer-centric, results-oriented problem solvers. We are intellectually curious, love advancements in technology and seek to adapt technologies to drive Staples forward. We anticipate the needs of our customers and business partners and deliver reliable, customer-centric technology services.

Are you passionate about transforming sales operations through cutting-edge engineering solutions? Do you thrive in leading teams to deliver scalable, high-impact Salesforce platforms that empower sales and service organizations? Staples invites you to join our journey to build and optimize sales technology, streamline workflows, and deliver AI-powered features that elevate customer engagement and drive business performance.

As a Senior Manager - Salesforce Platform Engineering, you will be at the forefront of our transformative leadership, driving business success through innovative sales and AI solutions. You'll lead Salesforce platform engineering for Sales & Service, own roadmap delivery, drive platform consolidation, and champion AI adoption. This pivotal role manages a US-based team and an offshore GCC team in India, ensuring aggressive execution and scalable growth across both regions

What you'll be doing:
  • Build and lead a high-performing US team while managing and growing the India GCC team; establish hiring pipelines, mentoring programs, and performance frameworks.
  • Drive a unified operating model across geographies with clear sprint cadences, OKRs, and quarterly reviews.
  • Own the Salesforce roadmap for Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CRM Analytics, and integrations.
  • Deliver AI-powered features (Agentforce/Einstien) and case-management modernization.
  • Rationalize overlapping tools, sunset legacy systems, and migrate workflows into Salesforce.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to centralize analytics in Snowflake; design secure, scalable integrations.
  • Oversee DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and release governance across US and GCC teams.
  • Align priorities with SalesOps, Customer Service, and Finance; manage SI/ISV partners for accelerators.

What you bring to the table:
  • Ability to establish and enforce documentation standards and validate deliverables against approved business requirements.
  • Commitment to code quality, including implementing appropriate code coverage prior to promotions.
  • Leadership for driving Salesforce Development Center of Excellence (COE) standards.
  • Influence over technical direction for large-scale, cross-system initiatives.
  • Ability to champion adherence to Salesforce governance frameworks and usage guidelines.
  • Expertise in best-practice system maintenance, configuration, development, test automation, and data integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional strategic planning and communication skills.

What's needed - Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • 10+ years in enterprise software engineering; 5+ years leading Salesforce teams.
  • Proven experience in Salesforce platform development and solution design for complex business use cases, ensuring scalability and alignment with enterprise architecture
  • Proven experience managing distributed teams across US and offshore (India GCC).
  • Strong background in AI-enabled Salesforce capabilities and Snowflake integrations.

What's needed - Preferred Qualifications:
  • Salesforce.com certifications.
  • Master's degree specializing in management.

We Offer:

Inclusive culture with associate-led Business Resource Groups. 22 days of PTO and Holiday Schedule (7 observed paid holidays + 1 floating holiday). Online and Retail Discounts, Company Match 401(k), Physical and Mental Health Wellness programs, and more!
