Job DescriptionAbout Thermo Fisher ScientificThermo Fisher Scientific is the world leader in serving science, with a mission to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. Our digital platforms support customers and internal teams across research, manufacturing, clinical development, and supply chain operations worldwide.

- Ensure a coherent experience across internal and external users while accommodating different roles, permissions, and use cases.
- Advocate for usability, clarity, accessibility, and data trust in product and design decisions.
Interaction & Visual Design- Design complex data visualizations, dashboards, and KPI views that are scannable, comparable, and decision-oriented.
- Translate ambiguous, inconsistent, or incomplete data into intuitive and understandable interactions.
- Design for role-based visibility, permissions, and customer data segregation across platforms.
- Produce high-fidelity designs, interaction specifications, and prototypes using modern design tools (e.g., Figma).
- Partner with engineering to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
Research & Validation- Conduct pragmatic, lightweight user research with internal users and customer-facing teams.
- Incorporate feedback from support, business analysts, and site partners into continuous design improvements.
- Validate designs through usability testing and iteration while maintaining delivery momentum.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Delivery- Partner closely with:
- Product Owners and Business Analysts to shape requirements and workflows
- Engineering teams to ensure feasibility, performance, and correct implementation
- Data teams to understand data structures, latency, and limitations
- Participate in backlog grooming, design reviews, and release planning.
- Support incremental, agile delivery across multiple platforms and teams.
Design Systems & Standards- Contribute to and evolve shared design systems, UI standards, and reusable patterns across mysupply and related applications.
- Ensure accessibility (WCAG), responsiveness, and performance-conscious design.
- Maintain clear documentation for UX patterns, behaviors, and interaction guidelines.
Future-Facing UX & Innovation- Design experiences that support:
- Trend analysis and historical comparisons

- Familiarity with data platforms, KPIs, analytics concepts, or operational reporting.
- Experience designing search, filtering, and large-scale data tables.
- Exposure to AI/ML-enabled features, data storytelling, or insight generation.
- Experience designing for both internal enterprise users and external customers.
Key Skills & Attributes- Ability to simplify messy, imperfect data into clear and usable experiences.
- Systems thinker who designs for scale, reuse, and long-term evolution.
- Clear communicator who can explain and defend design decisions with logic and evidence.
- Pragmatic mindset-knows when "good and shipped" is better than "perfect and late."
- Strong collaboration skills with a low-ego, outcome-focused approach.
Why This Role MattersUsers of mysupply and related platforms make real operational, clinical, and customer-facing decisions based on what they see. This role ensures those experiences are clear, credible, and usable-turning complex enterprise data into confidence, trust, and action across Thermo Fisher's global ecosystem.
