Job Title: QA Test Manager Healthcare EHR Implementation - 14+ yrs exp

Location: Austin, Texas (Onsite)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall QA strategy, planning, and execution for the EHR SaaS implementation.
  • Develop and maintain QA governance, testing approach, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Serve as the primary QA point of contact for program leadership, IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Provide regular reporting on testing status, risks, metrics, and defects to project management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure defects and issues are tracked, prioritized, resolved, retested, and validated before deployment.
  • Lead validation testing for data migration and conversion from legacy EHR and ancillary systems.
  • Validate patient, clinical, pharmacy, billing, and historical records for accuracy, completeness, and reconciliation.
  • Review and test ETL processes, data mapping documents, validation rules, and reconciliation reports.
  • Conduct pre-load and post-load validation, record counts, field-level verification, and exception analysis.
  • Coordinate testing of interfaces, inbound and outbound data feeds, and downstream reporting impacts.
  • Lead functional testing across EHR modules, including clinical, scheduling, orders, medications, documentation, and billing.
  • Validate end-to-end workflows across user roles, including clinicians, nurses, pharmacy, registration, and administrative staff.
  • Ensure workflows align with business, clinical, and regulatory requirements.
  • Execute and oversee system testing, integration testing, regression testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Ensure SaaS configuration changes and vendor releases are fully tested.
  • Partner with business and clinical SMEs to prepare UAT scenarios and test cases.
  • Support and guide UAT execution, defect triage, and sign-off activities.
  • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and test evidence.
  • Track defects and test execution using testing tools such as Azure DevOps, ALM, or Jira.
  • Support manual and automated testing approaches where applicable.
  • Ensure documentation meets audit, compliance, and project delivery standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience serving as a QA/Test Lead or QA/Test Manager.
  • Hands-on experience with data validation, data migration, and ETL testing.
  • Experience leading functional testing across EHR modules, including clinical, scheduling, orders, medications, documentation, and billing.
  • Experience validating end-to-end workflows across clinical and administrative roles.
  • Experience leading validation testing for data migration and conversion from legacy EHR and ancillary systems.
  • Experience validating patient, clinical, pharmacy, billing, and historical records for accuracy, completeness, and reconciliation.
  • Experience ensuring SaaS configuration changes and vendor releases are fully tested.
  • Experience coordinating testing of interfaces, inbound and outbound data feeds, and downstream reporting impacts.
  • Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and test evidence.
  • Strong functional testing experience with EHR or healthcare SaaS platforms.
  • Experience coordinating testing activities with vendors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, ALM, or Jira.
  • Experience working in Agile and/or hybrid delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with EHR implementations, including clinical, pharmacy, and billing workflows.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, CCD/A, ICD, and CPT.
  • Understanding of HIPAA, privacy, security, and government healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting state or public sector healthcare systems.
