Job Title: Windchill Consultant / Developer / Architect
Employment Type: Long Term Contract
Work Location: 100% Remote
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Windchill Consultant / Developer / Architect to support product lifecycle management (PLM) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience implementing, configuring, customizing, developing, and supporting PTC Windchill solutions.
The candidate should have a solid understanding of product data management, CAD integrations, engineering change management, BOM management, and PLM business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, customize, and maintain PTC Windchill PLM applications.
- Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable Windchill solutions.
- Develop and customize Windchill components using Java, Java/J2EE, and Windchill APIs.
- Configure workflows, lifecycle templates, access controls, object types, attributes, and business rules.
- Support product structures, Parts Lists, Bill of Materials (BOM), versioning, and revision management.
- Implement engineering change management processes, including ECR, ECO, and ECN workflows.
- Integrate Windchill with CAD applications such as Creo and other enterprise systems.
- Develop and support REST APIs, web services, and system integrations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize application performance.
- Support Windchill upgrades, migrations, deployments, testing, and production support.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, and implementation plans.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with PTC Windchill PLM.
- Experience in Windchill implementation, configuration, customization, development, or architecture.
- Proficiency in Java, J2EE, object-oriented programming, and Windchill APIs for technical roles.
- Experience with Windchill workflows, lifecycle management, product structures, and BOMs.
- Knowledge of engineering change management and product data management processes.
- Experience with CAD integrations and enterprise application integrations.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote contract environment.
