Title: Sr. Software Engineer – (Python or Java)
Location: New York, NY – 4 days onsite role
Duration: Full-Time
Skill Set:
- Java Full Stack + hands-on strong Python.
- 5-12 years’ experience
- Client is looking for strong in Java and or Python backend
Job Description:
- Strong experience with Python and/or Java building production backend services
- Deep comfort with SQL — analytical queries, performance tuning, working across multiple database engines (Snowflake, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or similar)
- Experience with event-driven architectures — Kafka, Azure EventHub, or equivalent messaging systems
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred) — secrets management, blob storage, identity, and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to effectively use AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT) to accelerate delivery — writing, reviewing, debugging, and testing code faster while maintaining quality and understanding of the output
