Job Title: Alation Platform Administrator
Location: Raritan, NJ (Onsite)
Type: Contract role
Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and maintain the Alation Data Catalog.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and security compliance.
- Onboard and integrate new data sources (SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.).
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot ingestion/lineage issues, and apply upgrades.
- Support data governance, metadata curation, and catalog optimization.
- Provide user training, documentation, and L1/L2 support.
Requirements:
- 3 5+ years in Alation or similar data catalog administration.
- Strong SQL/Python skills; experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
- Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of metadata management and data governance practices.
