Senior Full Stack Engineer (React.js | Node.js | AWS CDK)

Remote (EST Preferred)
Candidates must be available during Eastern Time business hours. CST candidates are acceptable.

Position Summary

The College Board is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and support cloud-native applications that drive enterprise data quality, automation, and operational efficiency.
This is a true full-stack engineering role requiring strong experience across both front-end and back-end development. The ideal candidate will have expertise in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, AWS Serverless technologies, Microservices, and Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK.
The selected engineer will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle including architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while working in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using React.js and Node.js.
  • Build scalable and reusable front-end components and user interfaces.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Design and implement cloud-native microservices architectures.
  • Build event-driven systems using AWS Serverless technologies.
  • Create and manage AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK.
  • Develop and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Perform unit testing, code reviews, and technical documentation.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production applications.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and software delivery processes.
Required Qualifications
Experience
  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience building enterprise-level full-stack applications.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
