Job Title: Power BI Developer

Location: Jersey City, NJ/Charlotte, NC Day one onsite (Need Only locals)

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that support business decision-making.
• The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data visualization, data modeling, SQL, and BI tools, with the ability to transform raw data into meaningful insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements.
• Create data models, relationships, and DAX calculations for optimized reporting.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract and transform data from multiple sources.
• Integrate Power BI with databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.
• Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Provide insights and recommendations through data analysis and visualization.
• Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, and data models.
• Support data governance and security standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Power BI development.
• Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and data visualization best practices.
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
• Experience with ETL tools and data integration.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Good understanding of performance tuning and optimization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory).
• Exposure to Python or R for data analysis.
• Knowledge of other BI tools like Tableau or Qlik.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Understanding of data governance and security implementation.
