Program OverviewThis program supports the development and operation of advanced capabilities for space domain awareness and geolocation, combining RF signal processing and geospatial analytics.
As part of this team, you'll:
- Innovate with SDR Technologies: Build and refine applications that ingest and analyze radio frequency data to detect, characterize, and track objects or signals in the space domain.
- Develop Novel Algorithms: Contribute to cutting-edge development programs by creating analytics, visualization, and discovery tools that enable precise geolocation and actionable insights.
- Ensure Interoperability: Integrate new and legacy software across diverse hardware platforms, ensuring performance and interoperability across various form factors.
- Drive System Design Decisions: Provide critical input to system design decisions, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse strategies, and the incorporation of COTS and GOTS solutions.
What you will doAs a
Software Engineer, you'll:
- Analyze Requirements: Derive software design and performance requirements from user needs.
- Debug & Improve Software: Debug existing software, correct defects, and provide recommendations for improving documentation and development standards.
- Design & Code: Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
- Integrate Systems: Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
- Develop Data Queries: Create simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
What you need to have- Experience: No prior experience required. (Four years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph (required).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency working in Linux development environments.
- Basic understanding of software development, including exposure to various programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Python).
- Experience with Git, GitLab, and Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as VSCode or Eclipse.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum).
What we'd like you to have- Geospatial Processing: Experience with geospatial data processing and analytics.
- Image Displays: Experience coding 2D and 3D image displays.
- Version Control Tools: Familiarity with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools.
