Summary

The Program Manager plays a critical role in supporting state government healthcare cost?containment and recovery programs. This position operates within the Account Management department and is responsible for coordinating deliverables, ensuring contract and SLA adherence, facilitating cross?departmental collaboration, and supporting both internal leaders and client?facing initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in a hybrid role that blends behind?the?scenes analytical work with direct client engagement. They will support senior Program Managers and Directors, work closely with operational teams, and help the company meet compliance, performance, and service expectations required under state government contracts.

Your role in our mission

Program & Contract Management

Assist in the execution of state government healthcare contract requirements, helping ensure alignment with scope, timelines, and performance expectations.
Support tracking of contract deliverables, milestones, risks, and issues; flag items that need escalation to senior staff.
Help review and ensure relevant teams understand basic obligations.
Maintain awareness of SLA metrics and collaborate with internal teams to support performance tracking and timely reporting.

Account Management & Client Support
Support Sr. PM and Director with client interaction by preparing communications, gathering updates, and ensuring timely follow up.
Assist with preparing meeting materials, agendas, status notes, and summaries for client and internal meetings.
Contribute to onboarding activities for new clients or new contract components by organizing tasks and tracking progress.
Provide dependable backup support to senior PMs and Directors, helping maintain client continuity and professional service.

Cross Functional Collaboration
Partner with Operations, IT, Analytics, Quality, Compliance, Legal, and Finance teams to support coordinated contract delivery.
Help facilitate communication across internal stakeholders to keep priorities and deadlines aligned.
Assist in gathering, validating, and summarizing data for client requests, internal analysis, or program updates.

Operational & Administrative Responsibilities
Assist in creating and updating project plans, process documentation, workflows, and dashboards.
Track action items, monitor progress, and support identification of issues needing attention.
Help with internal quality assurance efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain organized documentation, contract files, and communication logs in accordance with company standards.

What you should expect in this role
  • This is a full-time permanent regular salaried (W-2) employee position.
  • Monday through Friday work schedule (40 hours per week).

  • New employees are eligible to take advantage of flexible vacation policy after ninety (90) calendar days of employment. Any exception requires manager approval prior to employee's Gainwell start date.
  • Company provided computer for work use.
  • For all hybrid and remote positions employees' Broadband Internet connections, should have a minimum speed of 24MBS download and 8 MBS upload. Greater speeds will of course provide better performance.
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation if hired.

The pay range for this position is $49,500.00 - $70,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
