Location: Sterling Heights, MI (Onsite)

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations and drive continuous improvement in product quality, process performance, and problem resolution. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in quality systems, statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and manufacturing quality engineering.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead quality investigations and implement corrective actions using 8D methodology, containment processes, and root cause analysis tools.

  • Manage and support Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities to improve manufacturing performance.

  • Conduct measurement systems analysis (MSA), capability studies, and variable data analysis.

  • Identify sources of process variation and drive effective corrective actions.

  • Establish and monitor quality targets, critical characteristics, and inspection requirements.

  • Collaborate with production, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns and prevent recurrence.

  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.

  • Support supplier quality activities and ensure compatibility with critical manufacturing requirements.

  • Maintain compliance with quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.


Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing quality or quality engineering experience.

  • Strong knowledge of SPC, quality systems, manufacturing processes, and statistical analysis.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex quality issues.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

  • Experience with MSA, capability studies, data analytics, and advanced quality tools.

  • Knowledge of assembly, machining, and gear manufacturing processes.

  • Experience with supplier quality and corrective action management.
