Senior AI Application Developer

We are seeking a Senior AI Application Engineer who thrives in an AI-first development environment and enjoys rapidly building real, working solutions using modern AI coding workflows.

This role focuses on designing and delivering end-to-end AI-powered applications using Claude and other large language models, with heavy use of AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development. Engineers on this team regularly translate ideas into working prototypes and production-ready services in hours rather than weeks.

This is not a traditional enterprise development role. We are looking for engineers who are comfortable rapidly building AI solutions, experimenting with modern tools, and leveraging AI to dramatically increase development speed and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-powered applications using Claude and other LLM APIs
• Rapidly prototype and deliver working solutions using AI-assisted coding workflows
• Develop end-to-end applications including backend services, AI integrations, and lightweight user interfaces
• Build LLM-driven features such as chat interfaces, document analysis, and knowledge retrieval systems
• Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines using vector databases and document ingestion pipelines
• Integrate external APIs, data sources, and application services into AI workflows
• Work in a highly iterative environment where prototypes quickly evolve into production solutions
• Participate in live coding or technical discussions that involve building AI-powered solutions in real time
• Stay current with rapidly evolving AI tools, development frameworks, and LLM capabilities

Required Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with modern backend development (Python preferred)
• Hands-on experience building applications using LLM APIs such as Claude or OpenAI
• Experience building AI-powered applications end-to-end
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, or similar)
• Experience building APIs and backend services using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Node.js
• Understanding of RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector databases
• Ability to rapidly build working prototypes and iterate quickly
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, experimental engineering environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience working with Claude / Anthropic APIs
• Experience building AI agents or autonomous workflows
• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar AI orchestration frameworks
• Experience deploying AI applications using Docker and modern cloud environments
• Familiarity with lightweight frontend frameworks such as React or Next.js
