Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Cyber Security Engineer I - Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)

In this role, you'll join a forward-thinking cybersecurity team that safeguards critical systems supporting MSK's mission. Role Overview

  • Design, implement, and maintain IGA solutions using the SailPoint IdentityIQ platform.

  • Support user identity lifecycle processes, access rights, and role management.

  • Conduct access reviews, certifications, and audits aligned with regulatory standards.

  • Provide IAM engineering services, troubleshooting, and technical support for enterprise systems.

  • Collaborate with internal partners to translate business needs into technical identity solutions.

  • Implement security-centric IAM technologies across the organization.

  • Offer end-user and administrator support for IGA tools and workflows.

  • Stay current on emerging IAM technologies and industry best practices.

  • Participate in a rotating schedule providing 3rd-level, 24/7 support.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of IGA platforms, particularly SailPoint IdentityIQ.

  • Deep understanding of IAM concepts including provisioning, RBAC, and access certification.

  • Experience with Java, C#, SQL, APIs/Web Services, Windows/Linux servers, PowerShell, and Active Directory.

  • Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk) and utilities such as Postman.

  • Knowledge of PingFederate, PingID, and Delinea Secret Server is a plus.

  • 2-5 years of security-related experience (or equivalent).

  • Creative, proactive thinker who stays current in the security field.

  • Highly collaborative and comfortable working across diverse teams and environments.

Additional Information:

  • Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday - Friday

  • Location: Hybrid: 99% remote with flexibility to come to NYC as needed

  • Reporting To Associate Director, Identity & Access Management
