Job Description:
Job title: Application Programmer III
Duration: 12 months (Hybrid)
Location: Jersey City NJ
Payrate: $65.00 - 68.26/hr
Daily Responsibilities and Priorities:
Hands-on application development to support current and target processes.
Collaborate with multiple technology teams to implement the target architecture and migrate to the strategic platform.
Elaborate requirements for data sourcing elements for calculating risk-weighted assets.
Define business logic for computing financial elements and process flows for generating Basel rules-based capital ratios.
Ensure compliance with regulatory capital reporting under Basel rules.
Regular Points of Contact:
Enterprise Capital Management technology team members.
Cross-functional teams, including data sourcing, architecture, and regulatory compliance teams.
Client Interactions:
Limited direct client interaction; focus is on internal stakeholders and regulatory compliance.
Example Projects and Expected End-Result:
Development of a stable, scalable, and sustainable capital reporting and analysis platform.
Implementation of innovative tech-based solutions for regulatory capital calculations.
Performance tuning and optimization of data-intensive applications.
Project:
o Building a strategic platform for regulatory capital reporting and analysis under Basel rules.
o Migrating legacy systems to a modern, scalable architecture.
Selling Points:

o Strong data analytical skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience
Degree from a top-tier university.
Background in capital calculations and regulatory compliance.
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
Experience with agile methodologies and SDLC processes.
Familiarity with Quartz (internal bank platform).
Strong technical expertise in Python and big data technologies.
Proven ability to optimize and scale enterprise applications.
Innovative mindset with a track record of implementing creative solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
