Location & Work Model

Fort Worth, TX / Long Term Contract / Hybrid

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior UX Designer – Native App Design to drive user-centered design for native and hybrid mobile applications. This role requires strong mobile product thinking, hands-on design expertise, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, performant, and scalable mobile experiences. You will shape end-to-end mobile user experiences, drive design quality, and ensure consistency across iOS and Android platforms while aligning with business and technical goals.

Must-Have Requirements

·       Extensive native mobile app research, strategy, and design experience across iOS and Android.

·       Direct experience with design system creation, integration, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

·       End-to-End Design: Lead UX design for mobile applications on iOS and Android from discovery through delivery.

·       Research & Insights: Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research activities. Synthesize findings into actionable design recommendations for native iOS and Android applications.

·       Mobile-First Strategy: Define and execute mobile-first design strategies that account for platform conventions, gestures, navigation patterns, and technical constraints.

·       UX Deliverables: Translate business requirements and user insights into user journeys, task flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI designs.

·       Customer Experience: Design intuitive, accessible, and engaging experiences for customer-facing mobile applications (insurance or finance experience is an added advantage).

·       Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Analytics, and QA teams to define, build, and refine mobile features.

·       Standards & Consistency: Ensure usability, accessibility (WCAG and mobile accessibility standards), performance considerations, and overall experience consistency.

·       Design Systems: Contribute to and evolve mobile design systems, UI components, interaction patterns, and platform-specific guidelines.

·       Product Direction: Support shaping mobile experience strategy, influencing roadmap priorities, and guiding design quality across teams.

·       Platform Guidelines: Apply hands-on experience with Material Design (Android) and Apple Human Interface Guidelines (iOS) to deliver platform-native experiences while maintaining brand identity.

·       Stakeholder Alignment: Present mobile design concepts, rationale, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

·       Governance & Mentorship: Help define design governance, mentor team members, and participate in cross-functional decision-making.

Required Qualifications

·       Experience: 8–10 years of UX/Product Design experience with deep mobile app expertise across discovery, strategy, design, delivery, and optimization.

·       Core UX Knowledge: Strong understanding of mobile UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, and responsive/adaptive design.

·       Product Complexity: Proven track record designing for complex mobile workflows, consumer apps, or enterprise mobile products.

·       Domain Focus: Experience with strategy and design for travel brands, including hotels or airlines.

·       Technical Balance: Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints such as performance, device limitations, and OS guidelines.

·       Design Standards: Demonstrable experience applying Material Design and Apple Human Interface Guidelines, including navigation, components, typography, motion, and accessibility standards.

·       Soft Skills: Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.

·       Tooling: Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma, including mobile prototyping and design systems.

Preferred Qualifications

·       Education: M.Des / B.Des or equivalent design degree.

·       App Complexity: Experience working on data-driven or feature-rich mobile apps.

·       Advanced Design Systems: Experience extending Material Design and iOS HIG within a branded design system, including tokenized components and design-to-development handoff.

·       Team Environment: Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional, mobile-first product teams.

·       Optimization: Exposure to mobile analytics, A/B testing, and post-launch optimization.
