Job Title: Data Engineer
Onsite: League City, Texas / Marina One
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports to: Principal Business Intelligence Systems Administrator

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a highly collaborative Database Administrator team supporting critical enterprise systems. The individual selected will focus on day-to-day database operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting business intelligence and application teams across the organization. This role is ideal for those who enjoy hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and learning systems in a fast-paced production environment.

What You'll Do:

Monitor SQL Server environments and respond to alerts, errors, and performance issues
Write and maintain basic to intermediate T-SQL queries for troubleshooting and operational support
Perform basic database migrations and assist with platform upgrades
Investigate application and data issues by reviewing logs and failed processes (including SSIS packages)
Resolve ServiceNow tickets and collaborate with application, network, and infrastructure teams
Support internally developed and proprietary systems (training provided)
Contribute to ongoing initiatives, including SQL Server version upgrades and environment
Participate in an on-call schedule rotation (Monday-Monday) anticipated frequency monthly

What We Are Looking For:

T-SQL experience
Understanding of SQL Server data models and foundational database principles
Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to analyze logs and system issues
Demonstrated problem-solving ability, curiosity, and a solution-oriented approach
Professional attitude and willingness to learn in a team-based environment
