Job Description:
Seeking a highly experienced Senior Linux/Unix Kubernetes Administrator to design, configure, and manage complex Linux/Unix and Kubernetes environments across on-prem and AWS cloud platforms.
The role will focus on AIX/RHEL, Kubernetes, AWS, virtualization, storage, security, and disaster recovery.
 
Responsibilities
* Design and manage Linux/Unix and Kubernetes environments across on-prem and AWS.
* Administer AIX/RHEL, Enterprise Linux systems, Kubernetes, virtualization, and storage.
* Develop, migrate, and manage services in AWS and physical data centers.
* Support disaster recovery, backup/recovery, and high-availability environments.
* Configure and troubleshoot networking services including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routing, load balancing, VLANs, proxies, and gateways.
* Create and maintain Bash, KornShell, and Python scripts.
* Manage Linux security, certificates/keys, ACLs, PAM, IAM, and vulnerability remediation.
* Support storage technologies including SAN, NAS, S3, LVM, RAID, and backup/recovery.
* Administer virtualization and container technologies including KVM, VirtIO, QEMU, Podman, Docker, and LXC.
* Participate in on-call support as required.
 
Required Skills
* Strong Linux/Unix administration and architecture experience.
* Hands-on AIX/RHEL and Kubernetes experience.
* Strong AWS/cloud and on-prem infrastructure experience.
* Experience with Linux storage, virtualization, containers, networking, security, and disaster recovery.
* Strong shell scripting skills with Bash, KornShell, and Python.
 
Preferred Skills
* Rancher and Kubernetes implementation/management.
* Kubernetes Manifest Files and Helm Charts.
* CI/CD, Git/GitLab.
* AWS EKS/ECS or Azure AKS/ACI.
* Java VM/Tomcat troubleshooting.
* PostgreSQL deployment and configuration.
* Gradle/Maven build processes.
