We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with required experience in
Mastercam and SolidWorks who can turn production challenges into practical, repeatable solutions.
What You'll Do- Develop and improve CNC machining processes for production parts
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam
- Create and modify models, drawings, fixtures, and manufacturing designs using SolidWorks
- Select tooling, inserts, workholding, speeds, and feeds
- Reduce cycle times, setup times, scrap, and rework
- Troubleshoot machining, programming, tooling, quality, and process issues
- Partner directly with CNC setup operators, programmers, quality personnel, and production leadership
- Review part drawings, specifications, tolerances, and GD&T requirements
- Develop fixtures and workholding solutions
- Create and maintain setup sheets, work instructions, and process documentation
- Support first-piece approvals and resolve issues identified during inspection
- Evaluate existing jobs for opportunities to improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery
- Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Ensure processes comply with AS9100, customer, and internal requirements
Required Qualifications- Proficiency in Mastercam
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Experience in a CNC machining or precision-manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining processes
- Experience improving CNC milling and/or turning operations
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
- Working knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, workholding, and inspection methods
- Strong troubleshooting and practical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with machinists, quality personnel, and production leaders
- Strong organizational and technical-documentation skills
A bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent hands-on manufacturing and engineering experience will be considered.
Experience in aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
