Summary
Helping our client in Fort Worth seek a Senior Network Engineer. Extensive experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, Nexus, ASA and Firepower will be needed.
- Primary responsibility for network security operations, with a strong emphasis on Cisco ASA firewall administration
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco ASA firewalls, including:
- Access control lists (ACLs)
- NAT / PAT
- IPSec VPN tunnels (site-to-site and remote access)
- Certificates and firewall security policies
- Monitor and proactively address network security risks and vulnerabilities
- Support and maintain secure connectivity across multiple sites and environments
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on security-related changes and incidents
- Participate in security planning, audits, and compliance efforts (healthcare environment)
Routing & Switching (Limited Scope – ~10%)
- Provide limited support for Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches
- Perform basic configuration and troubleshooting, including:
- VLANs and trunking
- Port configuration
- Connectivity troubleshooting
- Support network stability in both campus and data center environments
- Escalate or collaborate on complex routing/switching design work as needed
