Role Summary

We're hiring a Senior Manager, Software Development to lead engineering strategy and delivery for scalable, data-driven, AI-enabled platforms.

You will set technical direction, build strong teams, and deliver secure, high-performing cloud applications that power analytics, automation, and digital experiences.
What You'll Do
Architecture & Strategy

• Define technical vision for scalable, AI-enabled systems
• Establish secure data integration and platform standards
• Lead AI/ML deployment and model integration strategies

Platform & Roadmap Leadership

• Own multi-quarter engineering roadmaps
• Translate product strategy into technical execution
• Deliver scalable data and automation solutions

Engineering Excellence

• Lead the full development lifecycle
• Implement CI/CD, testing, observability, and reliability best practices
• Drive continuous improvement across tools and processes

People Leadership

• Build and grow high-performing engineering teams
• Develop senior engineers and emerging leaders
• Foster accountability, innovation, and technical excellence

Cross-Functional Influence

• Partner with Product, Analytics, Marketing, Security, Legal, and Finance
• Lead architecture reviews and key technical decisions
• Communicate strategy and progress to senior leaders

What You'll Bring

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years leading engineering teams
• Experience building complex, cloud-native platforms
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, data pipelines, APIs, and AI/ML systems
• Proven DevOps and operational excellence experience
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Clear, concise communication skills

Expected Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $147,900 -- $293,250 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

In California, the pay range for this position is $202,500 - $293,250

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
