Job Title: Project Manager
Duration: 3 Months
Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Monday to Friday CST
Location: Irving TX USA 75063

Job Purpose:
The Project Manager position in the transformation office provides support the delivery of services associated with project management. Lead various size projects from start to finish with minimal guidance and manage risk. This role will Provide administrative and technical support such as scheduling, monitoring time frames & deadlines, creating presentations, communicating issues and other relevant information to project managers.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Project Management Effectiveness (40%)
Participate as a team leader or project team member and demonstrate the ability to work under minimal supervision from Manager of the initiative/project owner.
Deliver the hard message to Project Sponsors, Owners, team members and peers.
Escalate issues to resolution with influence.
Operate from a base of principle centered leadership. Behave in alignment with principles and values and demonstrate honesty and integrity.
Provide an appropriate level or style of management for the project team.
Ask questions that bring out ideas and stimulate discussion.

2. Best Practice Adherence (40%):
Manage projects using best practices and be accountable for delivering required deliverables by understanding and balancing the competing demands for project scope, time (including estimating), cost, risk, and quality.
Understand and comply with established corporate and IT standards and methodologies. This includes, but is not limited to, financial, security, audit, SOX controls and configuration management.
Use the company standard project management tools as required.
Proactively manage customer expectations on current and future business needs.
Recognize opportunities for system or process improvement and make recommendations or take appropriate action.
Display working knowledge with differing types of projects (i.e. vendor selection, business process, technology).
Become familiar with the technical issues being addressed by the team.

3. Organization, Communication and Prioritization (20%):
Handle multiple assignments concurrently.
Communicate with peer group and middle management stakeholders. May be called upon to interact with senior management group.
Communicate with cross-site (enterprise) project team members, using written and oral communication skills to persuade and influence others.
Use different types of communication (memo, letter, report) and different media types (formal, written, voice, e-mail, face-to-face), when presenting information one-on-one or in-groups.
Accept direction, feedback and coaching.
Foster an environment which encourages clear communication across multiple sites and functional areas.
Ensure effective communication across project teams, particularly stakeholders. Regular, scheduled meetings with Project Owners/Sponsors are required.
Responsibility for work of others:
Responsible for coordinating few to several internal groups.
Financial Responsibility:
Establish and report on construction projects budgets. Participate in providing recommendations for the preparation and reporting on other projects and cost saving initiatives budgets including variance reporting. Assist in reviewing capital operations budgets for various departments. Provide assistance in thinking out of the box on cost reduction programs and projects for improving operations.
Required Experience & Skills:
High School Diploma or GED
2 years of experience managing staff
5 years experience in project management
Maximum project duration of up to 12 months
Managed team of up to 15 associates
Manage projects for internal and external stakeholders
Preferred Experience & Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio experience preferred
Ability to collaborate with others and build relationships with business partners preferred
Must be proficient with MS Office tools, such as Word and Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
Demonstrated skills in problem solving, conflict management, and dealing with ambiguity
Organized with an orientation toward details
Ability to learn project process quickly
Ability to adapt quickly to change
This position requires individuals who are capable of coordinating multiple efforts simultaneously
Requires an ability to deliver on tight deadlines
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be an effective team player
High level of written communication, ability to make complex regulations and processes understandable to Payroll staff
Ability to interact with all types of employees at all levels
Education:
Bachelor s degree strongly preferred
Project Management methodology training preferred
Previous Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years professional business experience preferred.
