Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Lead and Data Center Subject Matter Expert to lead cloud and infrastructure strategy, design, and operations. This role focuses on driving innovation in cloud adoption, managing data center environments, and ensuring high availability, scalability, and operational excellence across enterprise infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, deep expertise in cloud platforms and data center technologies, and the ability to align infrastructure strategies with business objectives while guiding technical teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Define and implement cloud and data center strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Act as a subject matter expert for cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and private cloud environments.
Drive innovation in infrastructure design, deployment, and operational efficiency.
Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
Provide technical guidance on architecture, deployment, and operational best practices.
Lead complex troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning initiatives.
Oversee day to day data center operations including monitoring, maintenance, and incident management.
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning across infrastructure systems.
Manage vendor relationships and service contracts for infrastructure components.
Lead and mentor technical teams while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Support cloud migration, integration, and hybrid cloud implementation strategies.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational standards.
Drive infrastructure projects including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Experience

10+ years of experience in cloud and data center technologies with leadership responsibilities.
Experience managing large scale cloud and on premises infrastructure environments.
Proven experience leading infrastructure strategy and transformation initiatives.

Technical Skills

Deep knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and private cloud environments.
Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies including networking, storage, virtualization, compute, and server systems.
Experience with cloud migration, integration, and hybrid cloud architectures.
Expertise in disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity planning.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
Scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.
Knowledge of ITIL practices including incident and problem management.
Understanding of compliance and regulatory standards such as ISO, SOC, and GDPR.
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies for infrastructure teams.

Soft Skills

Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication skills for both technical and non technical audiences.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic decisions.
Strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to AI and machine learning workloads in cloud environments.
Familiarity with edge computing and hyper converged infrastructure solutions.
Experience managing large scale infrastructure projects including budgeting and resource planning.
